My law practice is devoted exclusively to civil trial matters, focusing on commercial disputes and business torts (breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, misrepresentation, real estate, misappropriation of trade secrets, construction, technology, securities, and derivative claims). I work for people I like. They tend to be independent-minded, risk takers, and leaders. I like to think I possess those same character traits. I suppose it’s no coincidence that many of my clients have become close friends. I believe this connection, combined with the relentless preparation of the client’s case, predisposes juries in my client’s favor. I believe fervently in the dual role a lawyer serves – advocate and counselor. In the courtroom, I am a reasoned but passionate advocate. In the boardroom, I endeavor to show the client both sides of a case and provide an accurate assessment. I am not reluctant to recommend a course of action if it makes sense for my client and their business, even if it means less personal financial return.
