January 30, 2009 - EDINBURG, TEXAS: After a week-long trial in January 2009, a Hidalgo County jury awarded Modesett Williams’ client Dr. Audrey Jones $829,000 against Weslaco hospital Knapp Medical Center. With prejudgment interest, the total verdict will be valued in excess of $1,000,000. The jury unanimously found that Knapp Medical Center intentionally interfered with Dr. Jones’ agreement with Knapp’s emergency room provider, Mid-Valley Emergency Physicians.
